Fan Killed After RIO Derby Game

Gun shots rang out at the end of a Brazilian football game, killing one man and injuring three others on Sunday.  This incident is just one in the trend of violence associated with Brazilian football over the years.  Our hearts go out to those injured and the family of the deceased.

Remains of Brazilian Football Legend Missing

A rather disturbing post today…Manuel Francisco dos Santos, known by the nickname Garrincha, helped Brazil achieve victory at the World Cup in 1958 and 1962 and played for his nation 50 times between 1955 and 1966.  Garrincha passed away in 1983.  But today, his remains are missing, understandably causing much concern and grief for his family and loved ones:
